Meet the Team
Stuart started AmeriSpec of Wilmington over 20 years ago and has grown his business from a one-man operation to a team of nine. Stuart is a licensed home inspector, drone pilot, and CE Instructor. Stuart's commitment to customer service and fostering excellent relationships with realtors are the main reasons he has been successful. He enjoys boating around Wilmington's waterways and beaches and spending time with his family.
Nick Johns is our General Manager, a Licensed Home Inspector in North and South Carolina, a Licensed Real Estate CE Instructor, and our Indoor Air Quality/Mold and Thermal Imaging expert. Originally from San Diego, Nick's positivity makes him a favorite among clients and agents. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing disc golf in his free time.
Kyle's inspection knowledge and experience make him a valuable team member. He holds regular trainings with our team to make sure everyone is aware of the newest issues with home inspections. Kyle is our water testing, historic homes, and septic expert.
Rich is a licensed inspector who has been on the team since 2016. Clients and agents appreciate his extensive knowledge and easy going manner. Rich enjoys fishing, boating, and hanging with his wife and kids in his free time.
Dawson grew up in the mountains of New York and has a background in the excavation and construction industry. He and his family moved to Wilmington in 2017, trading snow for sunshine and surf. Dawson brings his extensive construction knowledge and keen eye for detail to every inspection.
Elizabeth has been a valuable team member since 2019. After handling the office and marketing for over 3 years, she is now focusing on growing the business and all things marketing. Elizabeth is a people person who loves meeting agents, clients, and new people. She enjoys presenting at offices and educating agents about our services and how we can help their business. In her free time, Elizabeth can be found with her family, dog Buoy, or friends on the dock, beach, or boat.
Shana is our Office Administrator--keeper of the schedule and all things administrative. She is the pleasant voice you hear when you call. She is the wife of our owner, Stuart--making this a true family business. Shana is originally from Minnesota. She enjoys reading, the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
James is a Wilmington native with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He has applied this knowledge and attention to detail to every inspection since obtaining his license. He enjoys spending time with his family and loves music and playing guitar in his free time.
